HEIDI VAN LIER is an award-winning writer/director/ producer based in Los Angeles. She was one of the youngest people to ever attend the Sundance Screenwriters Lab at 24, and she later won the Grand Jury Prize at the Slamdance Film Festival. That led to programming for Slamdance and writing blogs for Film Independent and Film Threat Magazine…which of course ended with her writing a strategy textbook for film schools called The Indie Film Rule Book.
For years Heidi was a hired writer in LA, for such producers as Galt Nederhoffer, Lauren Shuler-Donner, and Maggie Malina at MTV, plus many more. In recent years, Heidi has been producing and directing hundreds of hours of television, mostly for Viacom/Paramount. Including such shows as Wife Swap, Rehab with Dr. Drew, Couples Therapy, Bad Girls Club, and House of Sims on Netflix.
Heidi has spent the last few years writing new scripts and making a digital series called Phoebe Kind Of while continuing to consult on reality TV shows and pitches.
